Callum is the Aberlour brand ambassador and they use a marketing agency to handle the logistics (Carly @ Ayatana XP). You have to stay on top of them sometimes or they forget to respond. Or maybe I just like a quicker turnaround on emails?
Cost 💵
- Free! - they are repurposing the marketing budget that used to be for activations at festivals, etc and shifting to this new at-home experience due to covid.
Logistics 📦
- They cover everything - the kits, shipping costs and brand ambassador hosting
- Make sure to ship well ahead of the tasting to account for any delays.
- Kits are (3) 50ml bottles and a glass
- They are not able to add anything into the kits for legal reasons (e.g. adding food or swag)
- They can ship anywhere in the USA but not a PO Box
- Groups of 15-25 people is preferred
Virtual Tasting 🥃
- They embed the RSVP link into an invite, with a Zoom link, and you manage the distribution
- Zoom; not recorded
- Can use Teams or whoever if preferred
- Can last anywhere from 15min to an hour
- My demo group was an hour
- He walks the group through the 3 expressions and talks about tasting notes, history of, …
- Some companies use this as a networking opportunity and spend time presenting a deck before or after the tasting
- Food pairing doc is available
